Refreshment - Mission to India 2019

In November 2019, Refreshment UK will be organising their third trip to India as part of a partnership with Faith India Ministries who work in the village of Kotipalli, Andhra Pradesh, SE India. FIM specifically minister to Dalits (known locally as the untouchables).

Our trip will be to support their work and to get involved in a series of mission activities in one of the most deprived parts of Andhra Pradesh.

We are planning to use Emirates Airlines to fly to our location. We are planning on taking a group of 4-6 and this mission will be led by people who have conducted missions to the area before.

Each attendee will be expected to pay a deposit of £100 for the trip and then, pay or raise their expenses for this trip. This is a figure of £1000 (total cost of £1100). Refreshment UK can support you with fundraising for this. This amount includes flights, food, visas, accommodation, all activities and insurance, but not spending money.

Here is some information as to what we will be getting up to and Bible Verses for each day we’re there.

Friday 15th & Saturday 16th November 2019 (ROMANS 10:14-15 – Our Beautiful Feet)

During these days, we will travel from Birmingham to Vijayadawa and be met by the team at Faith India Ministries before travelling to the village for our accommodation.

Sunday 17th November 2019 (EPHESIANS 5:1-20 – Transformation for God’s People)

Today, we will share with the local church and experience Telugu Worship. The service will last for 3 hours and in that, we will have the chance to share our stories and motivate the church.

Monday 18th November 2019 (JOHN 7:37-39 – Bringing Living Water)

Today, we will aim to visit some of the wells that Refreshment have previously dug in villages around the area and have a chance to see some of the work Faith India Ministries are doing with their churches.

Tuesday 19th November 2019 (MARK 10:13-16 – The Children’s Kingdom)

Today, we will spend a special day with the children at the orphanage at Kotipalli. We will travel with the children to a local theme park and get involved in activities with them.

Wednesday 20th November 2019 (MARK 16:15-18 – They will heal and recover)

During the day, we will be serving lepers by distributing food resources and serving their practical needs, as well as sharing the hope of Jesus. During the night, we will join with local churches at a prayer meeting and intercede for India.

Thursday 21st November 2019 (PHILEMON 1:6-7 – Refreshing The Hearts)

During the day, we will visit some of the local villages and find out what goes on in daily life in India. In the evening, we will be taking part in homeless ministry and go to the city late in the day to distribute food and pray for people.

Friday 22nd November 2019 (1 THESSALONIANS 5:4-11 - Encouraging the Saints)

We will spend a day encouraging and empowering local church leaders at a conference, equipping them to go and serve into their God-Given mission. There will be approximately 300 pastors attending and it will be a great chance to help them develop in the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Saturday 23rd November 2019 (1 CORINTHIANS 2:6-16 – What The Spirit Reveals)

After a day praying with the family and the children at the orphanage in Kotipalli, we will return to Vijayadawa and fly back to Hyderabad. We will stay overnight in Hyderabad where we will share our experiences with each other.

Sunday 24th November 2019 (MATTHEW 11:4-6 – This is the Kingdom of God)

We will catch the flight back home to the UK, going via Dubai.
